The Story

Taurine should not be missing from any cat diet. Our cats cannot synthesise taurine in sufficient quantities so it is necessary to supplement taurine additionally when preparing homemade raw or cooked diets. Taurine deficiencies can lead to serious diseases such as:

Blindness
Degeneration of the retina
Weakness of the heart muscle
reproductive problems
Insufficient growth of kittens and puppies.
Disturbances of the central nervous system
deformation of the spine in kittens
Immune system problems
For dogs, taurine is highly recommended in those breeds that are often deficient, if your dog needs nutritional support for the cardiac or nervous system or if you feed it a home-cooked diet or a diet containing cereals and/or pulses.
